Bill Johnson and his family moved to the South of Broad historic district in 1983 when a corporate transfer brought him to Charleston. After retiring from a telecommunications industry executive position in which he had corporate responsibilities throughout the Lowcountry region, he began a new career in residential sales with Disher, Hamrick & Myers. He enjoys the challenge of listing and selling historic properties on the peninsula, as well as great family homes in Mount Pleasant and West of the Ashley. His resort area sales have included Kiawah Island, DeBordieu Colony, Seabrook Island and Folly Beach. He attributes his sales success to focus on the key principles of dedicated client service and targeted marketing. His recent sales have included the iconic, fully restored 1740 William Vanderhorst House, as well as a classic “fishing village cottage” in the Old Village of Mt. Pleasant.
